Evelyn Amoako
BScN, RN, MPH
Evelyn Amoako is a Deputy Director of Nursing Services at the Office of the Director of Nursing and Midwifery, Ministry of Health, Ghana. With over 14 years of experience in clinical practice, particularly in underserved communities, she is a dedicated advocate for equitable healthcare delivery.
Evelyn holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Ghana and a Master of Public Health from the KIT Royal Tropical Institute and Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, specializing in Health Systems Policy and Management. She has furthered her expertise through a certificate in Civic Leadership from Rutgers University, New Jersey, as well as certifications in Project Management and Leadership & Management from the University of Washington.
An internationally certified SafeCare Quality Improvement Facilitator, Evelyn empowers healthcare facilities in resource-constrained settings to improve service delivery through capacity building, mentorship, innovation, and tailored interventions. She serves as an International Ambassador for the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and is a proud Mandela Washington Fellow. Additionally, Evelyn is a preceptor for the MSc Advanced Nursing Programme at the University of Cape Coast, where she mentors and provides hands-on training for students.
Evelyn’s professional interests include health systems’ strengthening, nursing education, HIV and cervical cancer prevention, and addressing stigma-related health issues.
